NIOS D.EL.Ed Study Centre is the place where registered untrained in-service teachers for D.EL.ED will be reaching to complete further task apart from online study which includes Assignment, Workshop, and classes, practical, School based activities and other assistance or support to teachers.
Due to huge number of admission National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has permitted that there should be no restriction to the number of student centres across country to enable to train the required number of teachers. One unit of D.El.Ed programme is of 50 teachers. However, the intake capacity of each centre is two units, which can be established in educational institutions.
For implementing the programme in study centre, the requirement of staff for one unit are four resource persons including one each of core subject, language, mathematics and EVS. Besides this there will be six supervisors and seven mentors for school based activities and practical teaching would also be needed for guiding the learners in the school where they work.
As per the guidelines set for these study centres, the examination centres will be identified by the state. The process of examination and its conduct would be the responsibility of the state. The evaluation of answer books will be done by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). Processing and declaration of result and printing of statements of marks and other exam documents will be carried out and dispatched by NIOS.
The NIOS D.EL.ED Identity cards for registered teachers verified by principals are available on the official website. The identity cards can be accessed from the NIOS D.El.Ed. portal using the teacher login details. Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed or DElEd) programme is designed by National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) on the initiative of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. This has been designed and developed by NIOS in ODL mode for un-trained in-service teachers at elementary level. The D.EI.Ed course of NIOS is also approved by National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE).
About 12 Lakhs untrained in-service teachers have registered with NIOS for D.EI.Ed course all over India.
As per Chairman, NIOS is working on the allotment of Study centres for the registered teachers. The teachers will be provided personal contacts for the course in such centres. In each contact centre, a teacher will provide lecturers and will answer all the queries from the teachers.
As we knew that Identity cards have been released by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) on its official website of the NIOS D.El.Ed for the registered teachers. The official website for the NIOS D.El.Ed is dled.nios.ac.in and below are the steps to download respective identity cards-

Click on the teachers’ login link on the homepage of the website
On the next page enter either your email or mobile id and password
The identity card will appear on the screen
Download the identity card and save it on the computer
As per the reports, more than 15 lakh untrained teachers have registered for the online diploma course in elementary education with the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). By clearing the exam successfully they will become eligible for the teaching job and the deadline for this is March 2019.
Those who will clear exam n all semester only will receive the final D.EL.Ed completion certificates.
