Central Teacher Eligibility Test, CTET notification is likely to be released in March 2018, as reported by sources. The examination would be conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE New Delhi. As per the updates published in Hindustan (Hindi daily), the CTET examination is likely to be conducted in May or June this year. The last CTET has conducted two years ago. Notification of the same has long been awaited now. CBSE in all likelihood would release the update on the official website ctet.nic.in soon.
Last year, after a lot of fake information, CBSE had released a notification in June to dispel rumours of the examination or the notification. However, the internet was abuzz with tentative dates for the release of the CTET notification. Though there is no confirmation as yet, an official reportedly told the Hindi daily that the delay in the release of the CTET notification was the implementation of various changes in the examination. In the meanwhile, last year in April, an official had confirmed that CTET would be conducted only once a year.
CTET or Central Teacher Eligibility Test has mandated qualification for candidates aspiring to apply for teaching jobs in central schools or any government schools. As per the Right to Education Act, a TET eligibility is mandatory to ensure the quality of education in primary and secondary classes. CBSE, accordingly, has been charged with conducting the examination for candidates from across the country. The notification is expected in March. All are further informed that there is no confirmation as yet from CBSE.
